Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Canadian Journal of Business, Economics and Health Management (CJBEHM) is committed to providing open-access publications, ensuring free and unrestricted access to scholarly research for a global audience. Our open-access framework allows readers to access, share, and build upon published work without barriers, provided proper attribution is given to the author or publisher. To maintain the quality and sustainability of our publication, the following APC structure has been introduced.

Current APC Policy (Until December 2025)

  • No Submission or Publication Fees: All manuscripts submitted and accepted in 2025 will be published free of charge.
  • Full Open Access: Published articles will be freely accessible online, ensuring global visibility and impact.

Future APC Policy (Effective 2026)

To support the journal’s operational costs and ensure continued open access, an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be introduced for accepted manuscripts starting in 2026.

  • APC Introduction: Beginning in 2026, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $200 USD will apply to all accepted manuscripts.
  • Purpose of This APC: This fee supports the journal’s open-access model by covering editorial processes, peer-review management, digital archiving, and website maintenance.

Why an APC?

Introducing an Article Processing Charge (APC) supports the long-term sustainability and growth of the Canadian Journal of Business, Economics and Health Management. The APC ensures the journal can continue delivering high-quality, open-access research to a global audience without financial barriers for readers.

  • Sustainable Open Access Model: The APC helps fund the costs of managing peer review, editorial processes, and digital archiving, ensuring that published research remains freely accessible to a global audience.
  • Better Article Visibility and Impact: Open-access publishing increases the visibility and citation potential of articles, allowing research to reach a wider, more diverse readership.
  • Continuous Platform Improvement: APC revenue supports the development and maintenance of the journal’s online platform, ensuring a smooth experience for authors, reviewers, and readers.
  • High-Quality Editorial and Production Services: Funds from the APC contribute to maintaining rigorous peer-review standards, professional editing, and timely publication of accepted manuscripts.
  • Global Knowledge Sharing: By supporting open access, the APC promotes the free exchange of ideas and knowledge across disciplines, encouraging collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders worldwide.

Information on possible APC waivers or discounts for authors from low-income or developing countries will be announced prior to the 2026 implementation.

  • Waiver Requests: Authors may request a waiver during the manuscript submission process by providing a brief explanation.
